Estonia’s international airport, Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, provides excellent facilities and a wide variety of services. In addition, there are many connecting flights from Riga Airport (Latvia) and Helsinki Airport (Finland).

GETTING TO THE CITY CENTRE 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Bus no. 2 makes the trip from the airport to the city centre and port approximately every 20 minutes and operates from ~6:30 am until midnight. Single journey tickets can be bought in cash from the driver for €2. The bus departs from the airport’s lowest level, down the escalator from the arrivals hall. The most central stop is Laikmaa stop on Laikmaa Street, between the Tallink Hotel and the Viru Centre shopping mall, attached to the Sokos Hotel Viru.

Tram line no. 4 stop is located on the city side of the passenger terminal of the airport. On Mondays through Saturdays, the first tram arrives at the airport at 5:25 AM and at 5:45 on Sundays. The last tram from the airport leaves at 0:45 AM, allowing also the passengers arriving on the late evening flights to reach the city centre with public transport. The journey to the city centre takes approximately 15-17 minutes. Information on tram lines and stops can be found HERE. For a single trip, you can buy the ticket from the driver (2€) or buy a QR-ticket on the Internet or at the ticket machine located in the tram waiting hall (1.50€). The ticket is valid for one hour.

SEA

Ferries cross the Gulf of Finland between Tallinn and Helsinki several times a day, covering the distance in roughly 2 to 3 hours. From late spring to late autumn, high-speed vessels also operate on the route, reducing travel time to just 1.5 hours. Ferries between Tallinn and Stockholm depart every evening, with the trip taking approximately 15 hours.  There is an overnight ferry link with Stockholm and a semi-weekly cruise ship connection to St Petersburg. The largest ferry operators are Tallink, Viking Line and Eckerö Line.

GETTING TO THE CITY CENTRE

Passenger terminals are located within walking distance of the medieval Old Town.
Bus no. 2 connects the port’s A-terminal to the city centre and airport, departing approximately every 30 minutes from 7 am until midnight. Tickets can be bought from the driver for €2.
A taxi from the terminal to the city centre costs about €5 to €10.

If you want to avoid misunderstandings, you can ask the driver the approximate cost of the trip in advance. Make sure to specify whether the price is per ride or per person!

LAND

Two international bus lines offer connections to Tallinn from several other European cities. Regular routes connecting Tallinn with Riga, Vilnius, and St Petersburg operate several times a day. International connections are provided by Lux Express and Ecolines.

The Delegate Services have pre-booked a number of hotel rooms with special prices in Tallinn.  Rates at the variety of hotels range from 75 euros-185 euros per night and you will find all details in the linked booking site.

Please note that the discounted prices below ONLY apply when booking via this link and will NOT apply when contacting the hotels directly. Hotels end their discounts 1-2 months before the event, please take this into account and book your accommodation as soon as possible.

The booking will become valid after the payment has been received. Should an error occur during the booking process, please e-mail the Delegate Services at ispcan2022@publicon.ee. The number of nights booked is binding and will serve as the basis for your hotel invoice.

All prices are in euros per room per night, including breakfast and the current applicable VAT. Single room max. occupancy is one person, double/twin room occupancy is max. two persons. Payments can be made only by credit card. Should you wish to extend your stay beyond the bookable period or need a different room type (allergy free for example), please send your request via email to ispcan2022@publicon.ee.

Please also note that the confirmation letter also serves as a voucher for the hotel. The Delegate Services will forward the rooming lists to all hotels prior to the event, therefore you will not need to bring the confirmation letter with you.
