ISPCAN has partnered with Child Protection Hub for South East Europe to offer this FREE webinar by Dr. Shabina Ahmed, MD, a fellow of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), who will discuss different types of disabilities, factors leading to increased vulnerability, and methods adopted by various countries to increase the empowerment of parents and children, as well as legislative efforts around the world to prevent the abuse of disabled children.

Journal Club: Education & Learning in the Context of Abuse, Neglect, & Related Stressors

This Journal Club highlights a special issue of Child Abuse and Neglect on the impacts of abuse and neglect on educational outcomes. Dr. Shanta R. Dube, guest editor and Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University, gives an overview of the epidemiological evidence documenting the relationship between education and health outcomes, discusses how childhood abuse and neglect affect learning, and presents factors involved in resiliency.
