Working together to protect children in times of crisis

ISPCAN’s international congresses provide keynotes, panels, breakouts, workshops, speaker Q&A sessions, wellness, social programs and an exhibit hall. Sessions will be led by leaders who are pioneering research and practices in various countries and complex situations across a wide range of sectors. The keynotes will feature industry luminaries as well as speakers from various sectors who will share the learnings from their initiatives. Typically over 65 countries delegates attend.  The goal is to give regional and global leaders the tools and practices they need to develop and deploy improvements to child protection and improve outcomes for children and families.

APRIL 4th WEBINAR: Strengths and Stressors Assessment Tool
An ecological approach to assessing and working with at-risk families

Safety and risk assessments are critical to our understanding of what factors contribute to the immediate safety needs and the risk of future maltreatment.  This webinar will introduce you to an ecological approach to measure needs (stressors) and identify strengths among at-risk families. The Strengths and Stressors Assessment is an ecologically-based assessment that measures strengths and stressors on the following domains: environment, parental capabilities, social support, family interactions, family safety, and child well-being.  While originally designed for working with families in the US child protection system, the SSA, has been adapted to use in family-serving organizations and with different populations around the globe.

Please join us at 10:00am-11:30am EDT on April 4th for this free session.

SAVE THE DATE TO CELEBRATE YOU AND YOUR TEAM: JULY 7th

ISPCAN was founded on a good luck filled day of 7/7/77 by Henry Kempe.  In honor of that, annually on July 7th, we celebrate child protection professionals. These are the every day heroes who research, prevent or help children heal from neglect, trauma and abuse. They give so much to make this world better for children.  Join our social media campaign to post tributes, messages of gratitude and recognize people for their dedication.
