In this presentation, ISPCAN Councilor Jordan Greenbaum will discuss the scope and dynamics of child sex and labor trafficking around the world, including examples from a variety of regions and cultures. She will examine vulnerability factors at the individual, family, community and societal levels and review the adverse health and mental health impact of child trafficking. She will also discuss short- and long-term needs of trafficked children, and conclude with a discussion of possible prevention strategies to decrease the risk of child exploitation. Dr. Greenbaum is a pediatrician, professor, and director of the Global Child Health and Well Being Initiative with the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
