Developed by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) with the support of The World Childhood Foundation USA (WCF) and Oak Foundation, the 60-country “Out of the Shadows” index (OOSI) is a benchmarking tool designed to help measure progress toward reaching the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target 16.2: Ending abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence against, and torture of, children.
