Jenny Gray OBE has been in child care social work, management and policy development since 1979. She graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work from Canterbury University, New Zealand in 1978; a Postgraduate Diploma of Family Therapy, Institute of Family Therapy, London in 1986; and a Postgraduate Diploma of Teaching and Course Design in Higher Education Institute of Education, University of London in 1991. Jenny was a lecturer in social work at Reading University and has published on a variety of child maltreatment policy and practice areas.
Jenny Gray has a particular interest in utilising evidence from research and practice to develop: effective national child protection systems in collaboration with governments and key stakeholders; multi-disciplinary training resources which can be successfully implemented internationally using a variety of media; and, good quality national child protection data collection systems to inform the planning and development of child protection systems. She is also committed to ensuring the UNCRC underpins all work to prevent child maltreatment and protect children from harm.
