Dear Members & Supporters:
It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Ms. Pragathi Tummala as ISPCAN’s new Executive Director. Pragathi is replacing Steve Werner, who has retired for health reasons. ISPCAN’s Executive Council and staff wish Steve the best in the future.
A short biography of Pragathi can be found here: http://www.ispcan.org/staff/details.asp?id=22407. She was selected after a large pool of applicants was narrowed down to a short list of applicants who were interviewed. Pragathi stood out among the candidates and was the unanimous choice of the selection committee. She comes to ISPCAN with a very strong public health and international background.
She resides in Denver so she will be able to start work in the office on the 11th of January and I do invite you to email and welcome her to ISPCAN through the membership messaging service.
Pragathi is married and has three children.
Thank you for welcoming her to ISPCAN and please accept my belated New Year’s greeting.
