ISPCAN is excited to welcome a new addition to our wonderful group of Country Partners:
On May 22 at the EUCCAN2 conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Jenny Gray, president of ISPCAN and emeritus Prof. Dr. Francien Lamers-Winkelman launched the Netherlands Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NeSPCAN).
Jenny Gray also announced the results of NeSPCAN’s application for Associate Country Partner. We proudly can say that NeSPCAN has unanimously been accepted by the ISPCAN council. NeSPCAN will be Associate Country Partner for the next two years and will apply for Country Partner status as soon as this 2 year term is over.
We look forward to living up to the responsibilities and ambitions this brings and to the joy of working together.
Francien Lamers-Winkelman announced in her speech that the organization's name of NeSPCAN will now be ASK NeSPCAN. ASK: Associatie Stop Kindermishandeling. NeSPCAN and ISPCAN together facilitated a European meeting in which 45 people from several European countries and also a delegation from Kenya joined in. They shared their ambitions and plans for, with and by NeSPCAN and ISPCAN in a European context for future years. We look forward to informing you about the progress of this next year and encourage you to connect with us if you wish to contribute to our plans for a European exchange of knowledge and practice.
