The International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) is very pleased to announce that Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will host the 2015 ISPCAN Asian Pacific Regional Conference on October 25-28, 2015. Malaysia hosted an extremely successful ISPCAN Asian Pacific Regional Conference in 1993 and followed it up with a memorable ISPCAN Congress in 1994. ISPCAN will work with the Malaysian Council on Child Welfare to plan the Conference and Prof. Dr. Sham Kassim from the University of Putra Malaysia and Dr. Rajeev Seth, ISPCAN Councilor, will co-chair it.
The 2015 ISPCAN Asian Pacific Regional Conference theme is Meeting Needs of Children in the Post-2015 Development Agenda: Challenges, Opportunities and Action. It is expected to attract approximately 600-900 delegates, with a major focus on attracting professionals from a multitude of disciplines including health, legal, psychology, social services and education as well as government and non-government services. We are looking forward to a stimulating event where we can come together to consider how best to meet the needs of children throughout Asia and the world.
Malaysia sits in the heart of Asia, the largest and fastest growing economic region in the world. The country enjoys multicultural diversity, a multitude of venue and accommodation options, as well as an exceptional range of travel experiences for visitors. It all makes for a compelling international conference destination. Malaysians are very warm and friendly people and look forward to welcoming you to their country.
