April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed every April to be Child Abuse Prevention Month in the United States. Since then, organizations across the nation use it as an opportunity to raise awareness on the issue of child abuse.

Supporters wear the color blue and often sport a blue ribbon. The Blue Ribbon Campaign resulted from a grieving grandmother paying tribute to a grandson she's lost to abuse. She tied a blue ribbon to the antenna of her car in his memory. Check out the ISPCAN staff wearing blue, and show us your photos!>>>
