New Frontiers in Child Protection (Çocuk Korumada Ufukları Genişletmek)

Developed in consultation with ISPCAN international partners

Saturday, September 8, 2012

Unique to ISPCAN Congresses is the Countries in Transition Forum skills-building pre-congress event, which will take place on the day immediately preceding the Congress — Saturday, September 8th. The forum continues and supports ISPCAN’s focus on countries in Africa, Arab, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, and is designed specifically for participants from countries where work is in progress to develop child protection and child welfare systems.

Forum goals:

  • To update experienced professionals working in Countries in Transition
  • To provide an opportunity for newcomers to ISPCAN to meet and discuss their work with experts in the field of child abuse and neglect

Forum format

All sessions will have clear objectives that will be shared with the participants in advance and its format will be highly interactive with ample time for networking opportunities.

The predominant language of the Forum will be English but, Discussion Groups in Turkish can be considered.

ISPCAN’s full-day Master Class will be presented on the following day, Sunday, September 9th, focusing on Assessment. We highly recommend that participants of this Forum also attend the Master Class. For more information about the Master Class, click here.
