ISPCAN Congress Update

Dear Delegates:

We are really pleased with how many people have already registered - over 500 so far - for the XIXth ISPCAN International Congress on Child Abuse and Neglect, which will be held in Istanbul in September. This promises to be a very exciting congress with people from many different nations and professions taking part. We have planned an excellent programme - the Countries in Transition Forum and Youth Participation Forum on Saturday, 8 September and Master Class and Child Protection Data Collection Meeting on Sunday, 9 September. In addition, we have added a Skill Building Stream to the scientific program of the Congress that has been designed to provide attendees with an opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge regarding core content issues in child abuse and neglect.

We are aware that some delegates have had difficulty with registering and paying online due to system incompatibility with their countries' credit card system and Turkey's 3D secure credit card processing system. In order to help address this issue, we are in the process of adding PayPal as an alternative payment method and will send another listserv message when the PayPal system is online.

As a reminder, the username and password that is requested with the online registration form at is not your ISPCAN membership username and password. The Turkish system is set up to require a new username and password before you can begin the online registration process, so the first step is to click on "Sign Up Now".

If you experience any difficulties registering or paying online, please contact our professional conference organizer - Bilge Yuksel at or Burçin Tunçel at .

We look forward to seeing you in Istanbul!
