The Eastern European Training Institute is a special pre-conference event which will take place 10-11 of September directly before the Xth ISPCAN European Regional Conference.

The Institute is designed for Eastern European and Central Asian professionals working in the field of child abuse and neglect prevention and will focus on child protection issues in CEE/CIS countries and Baltic States. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive skills training and networking event, which will benefit professionals working with limited resources. The Training Institute will concentrate on social settings for child abuse, legal policy, child protection system reforms, institutional childcare, child protection services and child abuse prevention challenges in the region.

The Training Institute will be a 1 1/2 day event: it will start Saturday morning and finish Sunday afternoon. The Institute registration fee (70 EUR) includes participation in all Institute sessions, tea breaks and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. We are pleased to inform you that participation is now open to all interested conference delegates (note: space is limited to 70 participants). The Institute will take place at Hotel Morgenland, a small and cozy facility located in the southern part of Berlin. The hotel has single, double (twin-bedded) and triple rooms with both private and shared shower and WC facilities. For more information (including location and map), please visit the hotel’s website: www.hotel-morgenland.de (in English and German). All Institute registrants are requested to book accommodation for Friday (Sep 9) and Saturday (Sep 10) night directly with the hotel. The cost of accommodation is 58,00 EUR per night/person including buffet breakfast. Please note you must be registered for the Institute and for the Conference to book accommodation at Morgenland.
