Berlin A: Berlin Orientation Tour/ 3 hours—14 September 2005

During your tour you will take a closer look at the historical Berlin with the Brandenburg Gate, Boulevard Unter den Linden and the Museum Island. You will also pass the newly-built city complexes like the Potsdamer Platz. In addition, you will learn more about the time when Berlin was divided and will visit, amongst other things, Checkpoint Charlie.

Berlin B: From Schinkel to the Masterplan/ 4 hours—14 September 2005

Schinkel’s Vision of a public cultural forum between the city castle, the Berlin Cathedral and Humboldt University led to the development of the Museum Island. Between the formation of the Old Museum in the 19th century and the final touches at the Pergamon Museum in 1930, 100 years of Berlin museum history are manifested in each building. Today, the realization of the disputed Masterplan and the completion of the museums complex are expected with great anticipation in 2010. This tour will take you to the Old National Gallery as well as the foyer of the Old Museum and the famous Pergamon Museum.
Minimum: 15 persons

 Potsdam C: Prussian Glamour/ 7 hours—15 September 2005

Today you will get to know the fascinating historic city of Potsdam! You will visit Frederick the Great’s summer residence “The Sanssouci Palace” and the magnificent Park of Sanssouci. Your lunch will take place at Cecilienhof Castle, which you will also visit later. Here the Potsdam Treaty was signed in 1945. Further highlights of your Potsdam tour are the Dutch Quarter and the Russian Quarter ”Alexandrowka”.

 Dresden D: Dresden/ 2 days—15-16 September 2005

1st Day
During your walking tour you get an overview of all the unique sights Dresden has to offer. Amongst others you will see the Brühl Terrasses, the Frauenkirche ( Church of Our Lady), the Taschenbergpalais and the grounds of the Dresden Zwinger. Afterwards you can regain energy for the rest of the day with lunch. Continue this exciting day with a tour of the Old Masters Picture Gallery. Spend the evening at leisure and stay overnight in double rooms.

 2nd Day
In the morning, you will visit Meißen, world famous for its fine porcelain. A guided tour will take you to the exhibition hall and the show rooms, where you get an idea how this valuable material is shaped, burnt and painted. After lunch you will return to Berlin.
