Planned Giving Program
How you can help ISPCAN by planned giving

Planned giving provides you, our members and supporters, with an additional way to contribute. It ensures that your contributions will work to help abused children over the long-term. Planned giving is a gift that uses tax, financial, and charitable estate planning techniques to enable you to make a large gift commitment and at the same time receive tax and financial benefits, as well as the pleasure of supporting something close to your heart.

There are a number of ways to make thoughtful planned gifts to ISPCAN. You can make a bequest by naming ISPCAN as a beneficiary in your estate will for a specific amount or per cent of assets. This will leave a legacy that will touch the lives of children and support ISPCAN’s future.

Other ways to make gifts to ISPCAN include:
  • Contribute assets to ISPCAN through your IRA or other retirement plan.
  • Make ISPCAN the owner of a paid-up life insurance policy or the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
  • Establish a charitable lead trust, designating ISPCAN as the beneficiary. This is an excellent way to reduce estate taxes and benefit a charity at the same time.
  • Make a donation to ISPCAN upon the sale of stocks that have gained in value, which will avoid owing income taxes on the gain.

We suggest that you consult with an attorney or financial planner when you are organizing your estate or gift plans.

No matter what your decisions may be, please remember to inform ISPCAN of your planned gifts for two major reasons:

1. So that we can make certain your intentions are understood and will be implemented as you wish

and

2. So that we can thank you personally, even if you wish to keep the details of your plan confidential or your gift anonymous.

The following information will assist you and your attorney:

  • Our legal name is International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
  • ISPCAN is an IRS nonprofit corporation [501(c)(3)].
  • ISPCAN’s tax identification number is #84-0743126.

When you consider creating a will, making changes to an existing will or planning a long term gift please remember the lives of children you will be touching by making ISPCAN a part of your plans.
