Connections are an easy way for you to maintain a list of colleagues and friends within the ISPCAN membership network. It allows quick access to their profile, blogs, and photos. You may also choose to receive an email when one of your connections updates their profile or adds a picture to their photo gallery - entirely up to you.

Inviting a Connection

First, locate the member using the ISPCAN Community Search - located in the upper left hand corner of the homepage.Search by first or last name. You may send a Connection invite from the search results page, or from the member's profile page on the top toolbar. You may send the Connection invite as is or add a personal note before sending. The member will immediately receive an email with your Connection invite unless they have turned off that feature in their preferences. Once the invite has been accepted, both members will have each other added to their Connections.

Messaging Connections

You may message one or all of your Connections through the messaging center or from My Connections on the member menu. Your email inbox will also sort messages sent and received from your Connections.

Connections Options

My Connections, located in the member menu, also allows you to set your preferences in regards to your Connections. You can choose the following in Preferences, located on the top toolbar of Connections:

Allow other members to view my connections
Email me when I receive a connection invite
Email me when one of my connections updates their profile *
Email me when one of my connections uploads a new photo *

Removing a Connection

To remove a Connection, enter My Connections on the member menu and click the trash icon next to the Connection you would like to remove.
